Alanis is sad

Fwee! Meet my new character, Alanis! ^_^ She’s a squirrel/raccoon hybrid. Alanis has an aura around her 24 hours a day that can be seen by everyone, not just gifted people. Therefor, people usually think she’s a freak On the pic she has a blue aura, which stands for loneliness and confusement (I looked it up ^_^;; ). She’s sad… : ( Alanis is a very insecure little cracker and she often feels lonely and depressed. She usually pours her feelings into poems and visual kinds of art ^_^

Does anyone know the Spanish song “Hijo de la luna” by Menaco? Anyway, when I was designing her (in mah mind), I was also listening to that song and used things from it. The moon wants a child (in the song it’s a boy, but here, it’ll be a girl), so she asks Elfe if she can help her. Elfe does so, and touches the first child that’s born since their conversation, enwrapping the little girl in a bright flash of light. But, as Elfe’s a little dumb, she didn’t read the manual, and didn’t know the light would STAY around the child ^^ Dumb dumb Elfe! Anyway.. as you had probably guessed already, this child is Alanis. She’s white, just like the moon, and as the original parents both have a dark fur, the father thinks his wife has cheated on him and kills her (it is what happens in the song – I realise it sounds a lot like Zaraël’s parents. So I might change it X-x), then runs away never to be seen again. Alanis, left alone, will be “raised” by the moon, her mother.

I’m not sure if I like this pic.. @.@ I wanted to practise anatomy (next time I’ll put some clothes on them, I swear! ), but I was also kinda in a hurry.. O.o The hands stink, I know, so no need to point it out ¬.¬ I REALLY rushed the colouring, so that’s why it looks crappy. The scanner/PC did some weird things with it too.. it's all speckly.. X.x I can still colour with pencils, really! Just didn’t have enough patience I think she would have looked better with a dark background.. X-x Gotta keep that one in mind for next time.

Annnd.. while drawing this piccie, I was listening to Alanis Morisette’s “Hands Clean”, and I thought it was a Corsa name, so go figure ^-^
